So boring, just watched Netflix all day.. So made this look in like 5 minutes.  Perhaps why I have like, no hype :(

Wings are pretty cool, and dominant in the fashion world. We have wing tipped shoes.. winged eyeliner.. but, aside from around Halloween (which is soon! NOT SURE WHETHER I SHOULD DRESS UP AND MAKE A POST?!) actual wings are seldom worn. The shoes, jacket, and shades are all by ADIDAS, inspired by Jeremy Scott.  He also designed a fly pair of kicks, which would be very unflattering (I have always disliked the look of puffy shoes since I wear skinny jeans/leggings dominantly) however I still want them!

new pink leather jacket

I went shopping in Buffalo yesterday with my roommates and picked up this pink leather jacket and my "legend" necklace at Forever 21. I've been wanting a leather jacket with flaps that go out, if you know what I mean, for a while.  I was going to get just plain black, but saw this pink one on the mannequin and fell in love.  I actually got the last one-it was an M so it might look a little awkward.  I prefer a more cropped look but oh well-it was cheap compared to all the other jackets there anyway at a mere $24.80.  New York State tax is ridiculous though I guess I'm just used to the "no tax on clothing" in PA.

another rainy day

Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't died in a flood already.  All it does here is rain rain rain.  So I went to the gazebo for sanctuary.

american apparel wishlist

American Apparel I can honestly say is worth splurging on.  The quality lasts, the styles are versatile (from relaxing to going out) and they're a sweatshop free feel good company :). So sorry they're apparently closing down.. :/  Anyway, here is my wishlist I hope to knock off one by one.. or all at once.. whatever I can afford !

underwear

I've been hunting underwear in this style for over a year but they are SO hard to find.  Search "women's briefs" anywhere and you get granny panties.  At one point, I was about to wear little boys underwear like this but it just felt odd.   I suppose I could splurge $12 for a pair of American Apparel briefs-or even $30 for a pair of diesel's-but honestly I feel like this should be the norm.  Its sporty, sexy, and very very cute. 

ps my search for cheap nude heels isn't going very well.  I'm considering every single store even Payless.  Shoe Dept didnt even have any nude ones but their base heel price was around $30. Thats pretty common. I really just want a plasticky pair from rue21 or something for like $10 but those are impossible to find online.  Did you know that rue21's shoes are not sized in numbers, but rather s, m or l? lol!

When I'm rich I'll buy some Choo's or Louboutins. 

thrift finds

Yesterday evening I went thrifting and found a few gems!  One, a sweater with cats on it, that really suits my etsy namesake (http://catsweaters.etsy.com).  My "shoot" today was a bit of a disaster because I forgot my camera's battery was dead after I was all ready so I decided to use my iPhone via the Camera + app cause it has self timer.  Below is a picture taken with the front facing camera.. awful quality.  The others are alright. 

 I also got this lovely leopard print blazer! :) It's a bit boxy, so I have to think what to wear with it.. Probably a bodycon dress or skirt combination.

Anyway, that's all for today.  It's cold and rain and miserable!  So it's definitely a sweater day.

Since it's been raining so much here, I thought I would research rain boots.  I really need a pair. The sperry color boots are really nice, I want them in every color! After a while of hunting on polyvore I started daydreaming about towering wedge rain boots, unfortunately, the highest ones I found were by Hunter (exclusively-there isn't a huge market for those) and pretty expensive.  I wish I could just design my own things and have them manufactured.. lol.   I'll probably be getting mine off eBay.. wish I could afford more than that, even Zappos lol.

I sketched my dream pair using Sketchbook Pro on my iPad.   It's not intended to be a real fish, its only inspired from 70's disco dancing shoes.  It's really sad cause they did have real fish in their heels and the fish would get really banged up :( I'd never encourage such a thing.

I really like this style of fashion drawing, well its not as developed yet as I dont have drawn models or anything, but I think it conveys a clear idea of the desired outcome/look.  Pretty soon I'm just going to draw base figures to reuse and since Sketchbook Pro has layers, draw my clothing designs on top of them.

I made this set to express how much I want a pair of simple nude platform pumps! No glitz or glam just plain :) I have a great look in mind. Unfortunately, I'm still on the hunt.  I lost an auction for a cheap pair of forever 21 ones today simply because i wasn't watching the clock (I only bid in the last minute or so).  They're not hard to find but I am on a college budget..

public photography embarrassment

I always get nervous taking photos in my room cause someone can walk in, but I need to focus on whats more important-fashion photography!  Or so I thought when I went to the campus parking lot because theres a lot of nice buildings that can be great backdrops.  I took one photo before I noticed a few people just chilling in their cars, so went to the woods.

It got hot in the woods so I had to take my jacket off! My undercut is growing quickly (ironically faster than all of my other hair).

&these are the lovely wedge boots.. which I may have ruined.. I didn't use the water protective wax yet.

I took a picture of the sky when I thought someone was watching-really quickly flipped the camera around so it wouldn't look like I was photographing myself.

I think I'm almost over my fears though. Next time I'll put on a show for staring passerby instead of shriveling up in embarrassment :)
