RAW Pittsburgh Presents: Discovery 2/8/2013

On Thursday I did something secret that I didn't tell you about :O

I walked for Streetheart's (a local clothing brand owned by my friend Katie Maillis) fashion show which was part of RAW Pittsburgh's first show's lineup of art exhibitions!  It was held at a new club in the strip called Cavo which was insanely beautiful and gorgeous inside.

It was funny in the video when the makeup artist was talking about making me look dramatic and they zoomed in on one of the other models instead of whose look was completely not supposed to be focused on drama-my clothes were dark and bold whereas she was modeling vintage and lighter stuff.  I'm glad for the closeup at the end though lol.  It's crazy to me that this was featured in the biggest city paper.

Here is an over saturated (in my opinion) of the lovely Brazil Raine doing my makeup before the show! I was the last to get done, so it had to be done in front of all of the guests.  My hair was so unique (to me) because I never get it done, I loved Stephanie Truchan's job with it especially the green side braid.

All the Streetheart models!  Taken and pic stitched by Tayrah. I feel like I look out of it cause you can't see any of my hair... ugh. But I currently CANNOT (unfortunately) find any other decent photos of me posing or walking (like literally there are a few instagram photos and I do not flatter myself lol), however the outfits I wore were amazing.  Katie put me in a floor length sheer skirt for the first walk down the runway; I don't think I've EVER worn one of those in my life on purpose.  It wasn't bad looking because I wore my new buckle litas for added height, but I normally can't wear long skirts as my legs aren't that long. I also don't really like long skirts in general but this scene is all about trying new things, right?

I will search forever and update this when I do find it-I really need a photograph of the second outfit I modeled.  It was lovely and exactly my style-a cozy, soft, oversized Streetheart short sleeved hoodie with boyshorts, my thick vertical striped thigh highs and my new Jeffrey Campbells which I haven't even posted on Lookbook yet.. so this is a spoiler..

Aren't my new litas gorgeous?  I copped them for less than $100 shipped from Karmaloop!

[photo taken before I purchased the most perfect EXPANDABLE and only $11 shoe rack from Target, which I also proudly put together myself ;)  The spiked litas aren't new but I'm probably wearing the super tall wedges that I thrifted for only $8 today during my collaboration with my friend Rob! ]

Anyhow, you should really check out

I'd describe the style of the brand using the name itself: street wear for dope girls with heart. One of Streetheart's slogans, "Lookin' Lovely, Actin' Ugly", is pretty much my MOTTO.  I like it so much my inspiration book is covered in Streetheart stickers especially with the "Lookin' Lovely, Actin' Ugly" one :).

After walking I changed back into my yoga pants but kept the litas on lol.  My blush was SUPER intense; so much that you can see it POP in this pic. Click it to see Streetheart owner Katie's instagram!
